Ungulates and Firearms

September brings great joy to the ungulate hunters of the Okanagan! Mule Deer, White-Tailed Deer, Moose, and Elk fill the freezers of many grateful residents looking to provide GMO free meat for their families. Ungulates has helped humans survive in North America for centuries with a variety of values and uses. Apart from the important nutritional role of bushmeat, leather is useful for clothing; sinews can be used as bow strings, fishing lines, and thread; brains are used for tanning and bleaching.
The Conservation and Outdoor Recreation Education (CORE) Program is British Columbia's Hunter Education Program. It is also a great program for anyone interested in outdoor recreation.
The B.C. Wildlife Federation (BCWF) operates the CORE Program on behalf of the Ministry of Forests, Lands, and Natural Resource Operations.
