White-tailed Jack Rabbit

You may ask are White tailed jackrabbits endangered, they are. In the 1920s and 1930s, White-tailed Jackrabbit was considered a pest in southern British Columbia but during the next 50 years they declined so that they may be gone.

White-tailed Jack Rabbit

A White-Tailed Jack Rabbit has a white tail sometimes with a darker central stripe.
It has large black tipped ears, long legs, and dark brown and gray fur.
The White-Tailed jack rabbit's purpose of life is to be eaten by predators.
They can be either brown or white with color changing fur.
In winter White-tailed jack rabbits fur becomes white. In summer their fur color is gray/brown with a white belly. White tailed jack rabbits can live around 5 years but most live around 50 days.
