A tall rock face eternally watches over a seemingly endless body of water.
When the sun kisses the rocks face and its warmth touches its deepest crevice,
It is rich with life, and the sparkling jewels atop the waves glimmer into a vast sea of splendor.
The sea brings life to the shore as birds squander over its riches.
Alas the rock has seen more than these richest of times, as the sky darkens with clouds, and the warmth escapes into the cold blowing winds.
The waves begin to grow with a great rousing energy, relentless, growing in might.
We would see fury in the waves crashing on the rock face,
But this is nature, and it has no emotion. The sea is not angry and the rock face does not lament such a relentless beating. It is merely energy reacting with that which exists.
Is that which is personified then merely a reflection of our own selves in nature?
If so then it is to be reasoned that how connected we are with nature is how connected we are with ourselves.
